Programming tools

Postby xkcdfan » Fri Jun 29, 2012 10:35 pm

I think we ought to have a thread of some favorite programming apps. Here we go, some of my favorites:

Windows & Linux:
Eclipse
Vim
Netbeans

Windows:
OllyDBG
IDAPro
VSXXXX(if you're so inclined)

Linux:
CoreUtils

And those are all I can think of at the moment, any other thoughts?

I would like to add for malware analysis

Either PyBox
Or
Cuckoo Sandbox.

Both are pretty much the same idea

And for Mac how about hopper. Is not free 30$ but the author is working on making it similar to Olly
Uses a gdb backed for stepping code I believe

You missed CodeBlocks + Nightly, hehe

Most things have been covered, but for me MASM and ResEdit are a must for programming.
